Qualified to keep a crowd safe.

NCFE Level 2 and Level 3 spectator safety qualifications, for stewards and event safety supervisors.

A steward in uniform stands at the top of a gangway, looking out over a crowded stand.
Rows of stadium seats seen from above, each row marked with a letter and seat numbers.

Assessed at work, not in an exam hall.

These are competence-based qualifications. You prove what you can do on shift.

Choose your level

Level 2 is the entry qualification for stewards. Level 3 is for supervisory roles.

Register and meet your assessor

You get the unit list, an evidence tracking log, and the assessor who marks your work.

Build your portfolio on shift

Evidence comes from real events. A work placement runs throughout the qualification, before certification.

Certification

Your portfolio is internally assessed, then externally quality assured by NCFE.

Two things sit alongside both levels.

Before certification you need the ACT eLearning counter-terrorism training, which is free from GOV.UK, and a recognised first aid award.

Enquire

Tell us which level you need.

Dates and fees are confirmed on enquiry. Employers booking a group of stewards should say so.

We will only use these details to answer your enquiry.
